Our next letter up for the A-Z Blogging Challenge is P, and P is for pickled pepper plant.
I suppose you're wondering what in the world is a pickled pepper plant. Thing is, there isn't. That is to say, it wasn't originally pickled until after getting it home. No, we didn't buy it at a store. It was a gift from Tom's brother-in-law who mistakenly bought Habanero chili pepper seeds instead of bell pepper seeds.
I told them Tyler loves them hot and the hotter the better. They almost died--their words not mine-- when they tried one, so they're planning on selling them to their Mexican neighbors, who laughed at them, no doubt, for being wimps!
This one tiny but deadly fruit came already growing on the plant. It's almost ready for picking.
The pickled part is that this little plant doesn't seem to like it in Pennsylvania, even indoors. It was doing fine indoors in South Carolina where Cindy--Tom's sister-- and Larry live, but the pepper plant is now losing its leaves. Horrors!
What can we do for this poorly little pickled pepper plant? Heck if I know. We'll have to wait and see if it survives in the Poconos.
